At the start of the Netball event of the Junior Sports Festival 2009, Kuala Belait District netball team recorded a perfect two out of two wins.
In the first match, Kuala Belait District edged Temburong District 36-33. In the afternoon, Kuala Belait defeated Tutong District 36-19. With an undefeated record, Kuala Belait topped the league.
The Director of Youth and sports, Hj Mohamad bin Panglima Asgar Dato Paduka Hj Abdullah said, “Introduced by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in 2002, the Junior Sports Festival is to be held once every two years. It represents the foundation to fulfil the national sporting policy of developing sport and excellence in sport.

Brunei’s 4th edition of the Junior Sports Festival or Pesta Sukan Remaja from June 14-20 will be participated by five confirmed contingents contesting for medals in 10 sporting events.
Organised by Youth and Sports Department under Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with national sporting associations, the contingents that have confirmed their participation are Brunei -Muara District, Belait District, Tutong District, Temburong District and Sports School Council.
The sporting events will see over 1,000 athletes competing in badminton, netball, soccer, chess, futsal, hockey, athletics, pencak silat, sepak takraw and table tennis.
S.J.B.S Netball Club was established in 1999 under the youth and sports scheme. Their current couch is Massna Mahmood with assistance from Sufry Musa@Musah, Seriman Sulaiman, team Lead Afina Afiat and trainer Asmah Mahmood.

Accompanying the guest of honour was Naib Yang Di Pertua Hjh Mariam Binti Hj Mohammad. Majlis Sukan Sekolah Sekolah won the gold medal, Brunei Muara District with the silver medal and bronze medal to Belait District team.

I tuned my monitor recently thinking I was going the right thing which I focus more on Gama. Luckily for me, with my mentor’s help, am still trying to tune on the contrast and brightness. Thanks
